Our 6x19 fibre core galvanised steel wire rope comes with a fibre core made of either natural fibres or polypropylene and offers greater flexibility than their steel core wire rope counterparts. It is a very versatile construction and is suitable for many applications where flexibility is key.
This wire rope construction is available in 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 8mm, 9mm, 10mm, 11mm, 12mm, 14mm, 16mm and 20mm diameters and is only available to purchase as a 100 meter precut reel.

Q: Is the fibre core steel wire rope stronger than standard IWRC (steel core)?
A: No, it is not stronger, it is typically has a 15-20% lower load breaking load BUT it is a lot more flexible
Q: I want 400 meters of this wire rope, how do I order as it is only sold per 100 meter reel?
A: If you want more than 100 meters simply add the extra per 100 meter length into the quantity, so for 400 meters just simply add '4' into the quantity box and we will send it on 1 x 400 meter reel
Q: What are typical applications for 6x19 fibre core steel wire rope?
A: Any application where you need your Steel Wire Rope to be flexible, such as - running cable over pulleys, engineering, wire rope slings, gym equipment, garage door control cables etc.
Q: Can I buy a smaller quantity of this fibre core steel wire rope?
A: Sorry no, the strand of wire rope is only available in 100 meter lengths. Our 7x7, 7x19 and 1x19 is available to buy per meter.
